Surround Society was founded by Linsey Snyder — a beauty industry leader with over 20 years of experience, who has spent her career closely observing women during some of the most significant moments of their lives.
As the founder of Face Time Beauty, Linsey built a front-row view of something that went far beyond beauty services. She watched women arrive nervous or excited or reflective, and leave feeling something deeper than put-together. What she noticed, again and again, was that the most radiant women weren’t just well-groomed. They were grounded. Present. Connected to themselves.
What she kept seeing in her work, she began cultivating in her own life. Linsey found herself drawn to practices that worked from the inside out – community, stillness, and the practice of tuning inward. She attended her first sound bath and felt it immediately: that particular kind of quiet that isn’t empty, but full. It was transformative, and she knew she wanted to share it.
The space that would become Surround Society has its own story. The 220 Atlantic building in Brooklyn has been part of Linsey’s life for a decade – a place she has shaped and reshaped through different chapters. When life changed, so did her vision for it.
Rather than walk away, she chose to rebuild.
Gutting the space entirely and reimagining it from the ground up as something that reflected exactly where she was headed. What emerged was Surround Society: warm, intentional, and designed with the kind of clarity that only comes from starting over with purpose.
At its heart, Surround Society is a collective as much as it is a destination. Linsey believes deeply in the power of women lifting each other – and that means actively bringing other women in.

By collaborating with and platforming talented voices from within the community, Surround Society is designed to do exactly that.
Today, Surround Society offers sound baths, meditation circles, movement, reiki, The Ritual Edit workshop series, educational gatherings, milestone ceremonies, and The Drop – a monthly curated crystal series – and whatever else might help bring a woman back to herself. The offerings will always evolve. The intention never will.
